Pioneering a Global Circular Supply Chain with the World’s First Closed-loop Import Model for Textile Scraps

Hsinpu Chemical Fiber Plant has been implementing the textile-to-textile “rTEX” production process. By collaborating with FEAV, which is FENC’s overseas subsidiary, the plant has successfully established a model for importing textile scraps.
Proceeding in accordance with governmental regulations, the plant imported approximately 8,000 kilograms of textile trimmings and scraps in 2025. Once the fabric composition was verified by third-party inspections, these materials were transformed into recycled raw materials and made into yarns supplied to world-renowned apparel brands.
While textile-to-textile recycling is a key strategic course for the circular economy, sourcing raw materials remains a challenge. Hsinpu Chemical Fiber Plant has overcome geographical constraints, securing recycled feedstock by establishing a stable stream of resources from overseas FENC sites. This import model is expected to help Hsinpu Chemical Fiber Plant fulfill the green missions of international brands such as Nike, adidas and Lululemon. While addressing the environmental issues caused by textile waste, the recycling and remanufacturing of textile materials also mitigate air and soil pollution caused by incineration and landfilling and reduce the consumption of natural resources.
