FENC engages with stakeholders to determine material topics each year, establishes management approaches and effectiveness evaluating mechanisms, and designates authority to respond to stakeholders.

Nearly half a century had passed since the founding of Far Eastern Memorial Foundation. In recent years, the foundation has been sponsoring a multitude of arts and cultural events and organizations, including Historic Tour Month of Far Eastern Architectural Design Award, children’s vision care campaigns and the Little Yellow Cap campaign for promoting vulnerable individual protection services (VIPS). The foundation also funded Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group, Rhong-Shing Chorus, Asian Cultural Council and Confucius-Mencius Society of the R.O.C., publishing Confucius-Mencius Monthly and editing Confucius-Mencius Journal. Such support has provided ample resources for more arts and cultural organizations to flourish and release the infinite power of art. The investments made by the foundation over the last four years had reached nearly NT$160 million, and the 2025 highlights are as follows:

2025 Far Eastern Architectural Design Award: The Splendor of Tamsui–A Fusion of Eastern and Western Architecture

Encouraged by the resounding success of the first Historic Tour Month in August 2022, the program returned in 2025 with eight tours scheduled for September, all of which were fully booked moments after the registration began. The 2025 tours took nearly 400 visitors to Tamsui District, New Taipei City with Professor Chien-Lang Lee as the program consultant; Professor Tsung-Hsien Chou, a renowned historian, and Professor Ching-Chih Lee, known as the urban detective, as the speakers. After the informative lectures, participants enjoyed the history and architecture as field expert Charles Lin led them on a stroll through century-old Yinshan Temple, Longshan Temple, Oxford College and Fort Santo Domingo, immersing in the tales and legacy of cultural aesthetics and historic architecture.

Global Livestream and Outdoor Broadcast Celebrating 20th Anniversary of Berliner Philharmoniker's Debut in Taiwan

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s debut in Taiwan, the symphony orchestra, led by chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, performed at the National Concert Hall in Taipei from November 11 to 13 in 2025. The last performance was livestreamed globally and broadcast outdoors, reenacting the debut two decades ago. The Far Eastern Memorial Foundation was invited to partake in this momentous musical celebration by sponsoring the global livestream. The musical feast allowed FEG to connect with the world through rhythms and culture, co-creating musical wonders around the globe.

Broadway Musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

The Far Eastern Memorial Foundation sponsored the Taiwan debut of the musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, an adaptation from Roald Dahl's internationally famed classic novel of the same title. The 20 performances of this Broadway spectacular in Taiwan were made possible by a partnership with a top U.S. Broadway production team. With advice from the team, the technical crew was able to hone their skills in stage design, lighting, costumes, makeup and captioning, which in turn emboldens the management talent and cultural industry in Taiwan with competitive strength in the international arena.
