Green Product Certification
Global awareness on environmental sustainability is on the rise, and our downstream customers are more inclined towards raw materials with low environmental impact. FENC seeks out green product certifications with high standards to gain downstream customers’ support for and desire to purchase our products. The following is a list of the green product certifications that the Company has obtained:

Green Initiatives
We are seeking a balanced approach in economic and environmental development with active participation in green initiatives. By engaging in conferences and forums, we communicate with our customers, building consensus in the development goals for the future. Initiative/Organization | Action |
Science Based Targets initiative, SBTi | The Polyester Business and Textile Business have set the course of carbon reduction with targets based on the 1.5°C pathway established in the Paris Agreement, which have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), keeping FENC on track towards its goal of net-zero 2050. |
Japan Container and Packaging Recycling Association, JCPRA | The Japan Container and Packaging Recycling Association was established in accordance with the Container and Packaging Recycling Law to facilitate collaborations among the government, consumers and businesses to promote recycling efforts as mandated by the law. FIGP is the largest rPET manufacturer in Japan. With its advanced sorting and processing systems, the plant converts recycled PET bottles into premium-quality rPET, which is then supplied to beverage and non-beverage manufacturers. |
PET Resin Producers Association, PETRA | PET Resin Producers Association (PETRA) is dedicated to promoting PET recycling and reuse, providing science-based information and engaging the government on behalf of the industry to discuss related issues. APG Polytech serves as a member of PETRA’s Executive Board with involvement in dialogues between PETRA and multiple government entities. Topics discussed include the plastic recycling and reuse legislations and policy design regarding Extended Producer Responsibility. |
